Getting on to the weekly strikes to get new unique loot from vendors and saving up all those strange coins to meet up with Xur every Friday. Everything had purpose to it. It had replayability that you'd never get sick of because it was always rotated in a way that felt new every week.

You awaken to a strange floating machine hovering above you — a Ghost, as it calls itself. Created by the Traveler as humanity’s final line of defense before it fell dormant, the Ghost has chosen YOU.

You are reborn as a Guardian.

As your Ghost guides you through the ruins of a broken world, you begin to learn of humanity’s last safe haven: The Last City, protected beneath the Traveler itself after the devastating event known only as The Collapse.

The Collapse was the moment humanity’s Golden Age came to an end. A mysterious force known as The Darkness swept across the stars, hunting the Traveler and destroying everything touched by its Light.
